Rare earth high-tech zone: build platform to create innovative highland of rare earth industry

The Rare Earth High-tech Zone will continue to improve the innovation system of the rare earth industry, give full play to the leading role of scientific and technological innovation, improve the rare earth innovation system featuring enterprises as the main body, market orientation and the combination of government, industry, university, research and application, and promote the construction of a national and industrial innovation center and service platform.

During the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, the Rare Earth High-tech Zone has been approved to undertake two national platforms, namely, the State Key Laboratory of Research and Comprehensive Utilization of Rare Earth Resources in Bayan Obo and the National New Materials Testing and Evaluation Platform Industry Center, and to jointly build a national innovation platform for Guorui Kechuang Rare Earth Functional Materials Co., Ltd., with Jiangxi Province.Combining with the industry demand and 8 companies including China Iron and Steel Research Group and Youresearch Group, the company jointly established China Innovative Materials (Beijing) Rare Earth New Materials Technology Innovation Co., Ltd.

The construction of a large number of innovation platforms has provided an important guarantee for carrying out original and integrated innovation, introducing, digesting and absorbing re-innovation in the field of rare earth, and realizing efficient utilization of rare earth resources in China and technological breakthroughs in key application fields such as next-generation information technology and industrial robots.

At the same time, we will promote the integrated application of new technologies, new materials, new processes and new products, strive to open channels for the effective transfer of scientific research results from the laboratory to the market, and encourage research work to focus on on-site needs, market needs and national needs.

On the basis of gathering and mobilizing the advantages of various platforms and becoming the national enterprise technology center, we will take the "Demonstration Action for Science and Technology Reform" as an opportunity to promote the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements.

Focused efforts have been made to change the lack of integration between scientific research and the field and the market, the low efficiency of transformation of achievements, and the lack of project reserves, and some progress has been made in scientific research.The successful industrialization of PVC rare earth additive project, technology and products reach the international leading level, is of great significance to the green and healthy development of China's PVC chemical industry.The research and development achievements of rare earth light alloy can be applied to the heat dissipation materials of 5G communication engineering.The new generation of hydrogen storage materials breaks through foreign patent restrictions and international monopoly.Rare earth magnesium zirconium grain refiner products to fill the industry gap;The first mobile square cabin magnetic resonance device with completely independent intellectual property rights was delivered to users;Sintered NdFeB radiation multipole magnetic ring and key preparation technology to obtain the capacity of mass preparation;The continuous production technology research and industrialization project of 10,000 tons of light rare earth carbonate has realized continuous automatic production, and the results have reached the international leading level.
