Trace determination of cesium, platinum and thallium, iodine co-solvent, photography;

It is the raw material for manufacturing inorganic iodide and organic iodide;

In medicine, it is used as thyroid tumor prevention agent, expectorant, diuretic, food additive and photosensitive agent.

Used as X-ray contrast agent in medicine, cystography, retrograde urography, t-tube cholangiography, etc.

Used as an analytical reagent.
